Excerpt (taken from CJ's website):

It was pitch black in the cold, lonely, frightening tunnel. The only sounds heard were the sullen drip…drip…drip of water and the noise of her footsteps as they squished into the slime covering the stone floor. Feeling her way along the rough cavern wall, she shivered when her fingers touched something small and hard that moved. It skittered away from her searching hand before she could do anything other than shudder in revulsion. She tiptoed along, trying to keep utterly quiet, knowing if she was caught, it would be her doom. The loathsome smell of decay tickled her nostrils, making her want to sneeze, but no matter how badly she wished she could head back upwards into the light, she kept going. She had no choice…not any more. What was down here was far too important to her.

She glanced around behind her, suddenly feeling as if she were being watched. Her heartbeat increased as she searched the gloom for what made her hair want to stand on end. But after a few minutes of deadly silence, she sighed shakily. This horrible place always made her imagination run wild.

Biting her lip, she continued downward. Her agitation increased as she realized she’d come much further than ever before. What was actually down here in these deep, dark chasms? She prayed she wouldn’t run into any of the actual inhabitants of the region. If that happened, than all her plans would be for naught. She eased around the corner of a large boulder. Its surface dripped with foulness and death, but she tried to ignore it. Soon, she would find what she’d come for and then all would be as it should. If she didn’t believe that, then coming to this forbidden realm would be the most foolish thing she could do.

She paused to get her bearings and shuddered again at the thought of being caught. Her fearful eyes tried to peer through the gloom as she again had the feeling of being watched. She took a step backwards and stopped short as she came up against a hard male body.

Adrenaline rushed through her as an arm snaked around her narrow waist, while a second one covered her mouth so she couldn’t scream. Oh God! She’d been discovered! What would happen to her now? Tears filled her eyes as she struggled. She knew no one would help her in this terrible place.

“You are trespassing,” a dark voice hissed in her ear. “Do you know what happens to those who enter our lands without permission?”

She grabbed at the hand pressed against her lips, but it wouldn’t budge. The one who held her was very strong, very stubborn and by the feel of his body against hers…very aroused.

“We do not see many of your kind here,” he murmured, pressing his nose against the frantically pulsing vein in her neck. “And real women are scarce in this place. I wonder…do you know what will happen, now that I’ve caught you?”

Unable to answer him, she just continued her struggle to get away. She clawed at his hands and when that didn’t do anything, she reached behind him to grab at his hair. But before she could get a handful, the man holding her released her mouth and whipped her around to face him. Pulling her against his hard body, she only had time to take one deep breath before his mouth came down on hers.

She froze instantly, feeling much like a rabbit did when pounced on by a hunting wolf. His mouth was hard and demanding, leaving nothing to the imagination. He forced her lips apart and ravaged her sweet mouth. She finally struggled when his hand smoothed its way up her body and cupped a warm breast.

He growled low in his throat and gave the soft mound a threatening squeeze. Gasping, she stilled again, knowing he was too strong for her to fight against. As if taking her stillness for surrender, he chuckled. “Very smart, angel. It wouldn’t do for you to make me angry.”

“Please—”

“Don’t beg,” he ordered. “You came down here, knowing what might happen to you. I’m just fulfilling that expectation.”

“I—”

“Be silent!” He squeezed her breast again then ran his hand down her hip to the short tunic dress she was wearing. “Now then…what surprises do you have for me?” He eased under the garment and up her rounded rear, plucking at her skimpy panties. “Very nice. Are they lace?”

She pushed against his rock hard chest. “Don’t!”

He laughed again. “Why not?” He backed her up against the moss covered rock and held her so she couldn’t move. His hand continued its exploration, moving over her womanly hips and up her flat belly. He groaned as he touched the warm swell of her naked breast. He held her tightly as he flicked his thumb over the tip, making it pebble beneath his touch. “Very nice.”

She struggled again. “Please…don’t!”

“Your mouth says no, but this…” He squeezed a nipple between his thumb and index finger and she gasped. “This says you want me to go on.”

A blizzard paralyzes Denver, stranding spring break traveler Kelsie Stanton with an airport full of strangers. One man in particular captures her attention. She spends the first night sitting up and talking with handsome Tom Smith. When she's finally able to get a hotel room, Kelsie and Tom act on the passions that brewed all night long.

TV weather reports are interspersed with breaking news of an escaped convict, loose in the area. She vaguely realizes that the description fits Tom perfectly, but Kelsie is overwhelmed with passion and a serious case of lust. Will she discover the truth before it's too late?hjjvj

Excerpt:

Kelsie Stanton stared at the flight schedule screen, not believing her eyes. Flight 232 to Chicago, delayed. Flight 1924 to San Antonio, delayed. Most importantly, flight 1746 to St. Petersburg, Florida, delayed. It was snowing, but she didn't realize the weather was bad enough to cause all the delays. Not one flight appeared to be leaving on time.

She approached the ticket counter, where a dozen other people fired questions at the clerk. "When will the Chicago flight be leaving? We were supposed to be boarding by now." An angry-looking man pounded his fist on the counter.

"Do you know how long before they'll give clearance?" Someone else asked, and the clerk raised her hands with a shrug.

"Please, everyone." The uniformed woman tried to gain control. "The snow isn't letting up, and several more inches are expected. We haven't been told when flights will be taking off again. Unless the weather cooperates, it might not be tonight."

"Not tonight!" Several frustrated people echoed her words.

Kelsie moved away from the crowd. She doubted the clerk could give her any information. She'd just have to sit down and wait the storm out. Pulling her rolling carry-on behind her and clutching a backpack, which held her purse and other valuables, she found a seat near a television tuned to the weather.

"It's the third crippling blizzard Denver has seen this season," the announcer stated. "With seven inches on the ground and another foot anticipated, the airport, having already closed twice in the month of December, may be looking at another shutdown."

"Oh, for Pete's sake!" Kelsie pulled her cellular phone from her bag and dialed home. "Hey Mom," she said when she heard the pick-up. "Have you seen the weather?"

"Kelsie, thank goodness! Where are you? There's a blizzard out there. They've closed Interstate Seventy west of Russell."

"I'm at the airport in Denver, Mom. It looks like I may be here for a while. My flight's delayed, with no indication when it'll be leaving."

"At least you're safe. I was worried you might still be on the road."

"Nope, I made it. It wasn't snowing that hard when I left Kansas. It got worse the farther west I drove. I still didn't think it was bad enough to ground planes."

"They know what they're doing. I'd rather have you safe, then flying in this mess."

She chuckled. "You'd rather have me home than going to Florida for spring break, admit it."

"I didn't mind you going," her mother said hesitantly, but Kelsie knew it was a lie. Since her father died ten years ago, her mother had been extremely over-protective. It got worse right before she went off to college at Kansas State University. The school was only two hours from home, but it was located in a city much bigger than the rural town she grew up in. Her mother tended to be paranoid. She said she knew what kind of things happened in big cities, to which Kelsie could only chuckle. Everything that could happen to her in a bigger city had already happened to her in McPherson.

"Look, Mom," she said into the phone. "I'm going to sit here and watch the weather. I'll keep my phone on, and let you know when something changes."

"Okay honey," her mother replied nervously. "You should call your cousin Cheryl and let her know you've been delayed. She was planning to meet your plane."

"Yes, I will. Thanks Mom. I'll talk to you soon."

"I love you, Kels. Be safe."

"I will. Don't worry. Bye, Mom." She disconnected the call and shoved the phone back into her bag. Her cousin wasn't expecting her for hours. If she waited to call, she might have news.

A loud group of about eight guys passed in front of her, depositing their carry-on bags in the empty seats next to hers. "Go find out what's going on!" One of them slurred to another, and Kelsie rolled her eyes. Great. Drunken college guys. She really hoped they weren't on her plane, headed to Florida and the same spring break destination she'd booked. They were rowdy and obnoxious, and she could smell booze on them.

"Hey beautiful!" One of the noisy group, a greasy-haired beanpole of a guy, dropped into the seat next to hers. "Do you believe in love at first sight, or do I need to walk by again?"

She looked at him with disbelief. "Does that line ever work?"

He grinned. "I guess not this time. Hi, I'm Dave. What's your name?"

"Not Interested. Susie Not Interested."

"Hi Susie!" He turned to one of his nearby cohorts. "Jeff, this is Susie Not Interested."

"You moron!" Jeff hooted. "Not interested! Get it?" He cackled and the rest of his group laughed raucously.

Dave had a strange look on his face as he repeated her name to himself, and then muttered "D'oh!"

A man appeared from out of nowhere. He lifted Dave by one arm and scooted him towards his group. "Off you go, Dave. That's a good boy." He dropped into the now-vacant seat. "I'm guessing it isn't Susie, either." His gaze met hers.

She smiled nervously. "No, it's not. Thanks." Her instincts told her to gather her things and move to another row, but there was something intriguing about her new seatmate. His dark hair was buzzed into a short military-cut style, but his three-day beard growth didn't say Army. It said something more like bad boy, and Kelsie couldn't resist a good bad boy.

His brown eyes twinkled as he looked at her expectantly.

For some reason she murmured, "Kelsie. My name is Kelsie."

Reviews:

Change of Plans was an amazing story! Full of romance, passion, action and adventure, this is a must read for everyone. I was engrossed from the very first page and I was terrified of what the outcome would be. Jamie Hill has an marvelous talent of keeping readers enthralled and dying to know what's going to happen next. Kelsie has always been raised a "good girl" so it was nice to have her wickedness come to the forefront when she took a chance on Tom. I have to say, Tom struck me kind of funny...I wasn't sure if he was truly a good guy or a masterful liar. The ending completely caught me by surprise and that just makes me want to read more of Jamie Hill's books very soon!

Change of Plans details a fantasy many of us have of meeting someone and falling into a sexual encounter the likes of which we never imagined. Yet it also hints at some of the dangers inherent in that type of fantasy. Doubts about just who Tom is fill Kelsie’s mind and as the “evidence” seems to stack up against him, Kelsie starts to doubt her instincts even though sexually he has given her more than she ever imagined. Change of Plans is full of subtle twists and turns that grabs your attention rights from the start and keeps it throughout.

Excerpt:

Todd shrugged. "It's Valentine's Day. Shouldn't lovers be together tonight of all nights?" His voice was casual, but Michael could hear the bit of charm that Todd could exude.

Christopher slowly nodded and took a step back. "But why is Michael tied up? Gagged?" His glance went to Michael.

"I'm helping Michael fulfill a fantasy. Just as he's going to help me fulfill one. Aren't you,Michael?"

Michael's stomach lurched at the smoldering look Todd gave him. His pulse raced so fast that he thought his heart would burst right there in his chest. Christopher. The third to Todd's threesome. Someone they both could trust.

Michael nodded and felt a shiver of excitement rush his spine.

"Being tied up? Gagged? Like a bad…" Christopher stopped and his eyes widened. "Oh. Um…" His cheeks became flushed as he realized what he'd stumbled into. He took another step back toward the door, but his eyes were jetting back and forth between Michael and Todd. "Well, then, I guess I'll go then."

"Wait," Todd said, his voice smooth. Michael watched as he stepped around the bed and approached Christopher. "Michael will need help with my fantasy. We were just talking about it and thought you would be perfect."

Christopher swallowed hard and his eyes went to Michael. "Talking about it, huh?" He licked his lips and Michael saw that his fingers twitched nervously at his sides.

"Of course." Todd assured him. "Weren't we, Michael?"

Michael knew what Todd was doing. Todd wasn't lying to Christopher. He just omitted the fact that he was the one doing all the talking. Michael nodded.

"Are you interested?"

Christopher eyed Todd with uncertainty. Michael understood his apprehension. He wanted to warn his friend but couldn't. What did Todd have in mind? Whatever it was Michael was sure that both he and Christopher would be surprised by it. Especially after having to go through such lengths to get Michael where he was.

"What do I have to do?"Weariness sounded in his question.

A Phaze Fury Release!

Derek was stuck in a rut. His wonderful boyfriend, Jeremy, was too wonderful. He catered to Derek's every whim, but when it came to passion, Derek craved a lover that wasn't quite so gentle and understanding.

Angry and frustrated, he sought revenge. He was lured into the anonymous world of online hook-ups by a friend. He found a man who called out to his naughty, raunchy inner slut. But Jeremy might not be the only one surprised to find out about Derek's 'casual encounter'.

Excerpt:

"Um ... A couple of weeks, I guess. No, wait. It was three weeks. We had sex on opening night." Derek pulled his velvet blazer closer around him and adjusted his scarf before wrapping both hands around the paper cup filled with hot chai tea. It was still chilly, though the sun was bright for February.

"Jesus. You sleep in the same bed, don't you?" Johnny asked. "Three weeks. Damn. I'm not in a relationship and I've had more sex than that."

Derek pouted a little. "We work different shifts. I'm at the theater until kinda late. He goes to the studio kinda early. I keep hoping he'll get another Broadway show, so he'll be working the same as me, but it doesn't seem likely any time soon. He's composing for some independent film, and they all work nine to five." He shrugged. "It's no big deal, anyway." It didn't really feel like 'no big deal' to him, but he didn't want to sound bitter.

"No big deal? Derek. You're a fabulous gay man in a fabulous city. You should be getting laid every night."

Derek's scowl turned into a frown. "Actually, we're kinda in a rut, anyway. It's always the same. I mean, I know Jeremy loves me. He's always so..." He wrinkled his nose. "Tender."

Johnny grinned. "And you want hot, dirty fucking, don't you. Why don't you put an ad on Craig's List? Go have some anonymous fun. It'll be good for your relationship. Do something really kinky and hot and get it out of your system."

Derek had to admit that it was true. He loved Jeremy, but he wanted that kind of passion, that desperation. The more time passed, the more he started to feel resentful about it. He deserved that, and Jeremy wasn't providing it.

"You're thinking about it, aren't you?" Johnny said. "Good. You should. It's not right for you to live a celibate life. It's just not right."

Derek changed the subject. He was thinking about it, and the more he did, the more it appealed to him. In a little while he headed home to shower after their yoga class and get ready to go to the theater. He loved acting, and he was fortunate to have landed his role. He knew he couldn't give it up for anything, because the more exposure he got, the better his career would be in the future.

He'd met Jeremy in the theater, when the sweet, shy composer was working on a play that Derek was auditioning for. Jeremy had spent some time working with the chorus, and Derek had caught his eye. When they'd started dating, they'd instantly become inseparable, and for a time, their schedules matched perfectly. They would make sweet, gentle love until the early morning hours and then lie in bed half the day before they had to drag themselves out.

Now, though, they barely saw each other most days. He wanted Jeremy, but ... he wanted more, too.

Reviews:

Escape was an eccentric and stimulating story. Jade Falconer really knows how to captivate a reader right from the beginning. The characters are easy to relate to with everyday problems. This is definitely a recommended read. – Sensual Reads

Escape by Jade Falconer is a highly erotic, M/M short story that will have you wishing for a cold shower. There are sub-themes of some mild fetish behaviors, including spanking and light BDSM elements. This is a very hot little tale, and the plot twisted just enough to keep readers on their toes. While characters are not highly detailed, the smoking-hot eroticism certainly is, and will heat up a cold winter’s night. At just over twenty pages, it’s exactly the right length for a quick, heated read. While this story was a bit too over the top for my taste, I can still appreciate the plot and passion that is evidenced in its pages. Four Angels!
